‎Former Cameroon captain, Stephen Tawtaw, is dead

‎Stephen Tawtaw, captain of the Cameroon national team, the Indomitable Lions, at the 1990 and 1994 editions of the FIFA World Cup,‎ has passed on.

‎He died on Friday, in Yaounde, at 57.

Tawtaw, a defender, played for Tonnerre Yaounde from 1988 to 1991, and for Olympic Mvolyé from 1992 to 1994.‎

The legendary right-back ended his playing time in Japan with Tosu Futures.

A cause of death has not yet been made public.‎
