Nigeria records 423 new cases of Covid-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 423 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 47, 290 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos state leading the pack with 117 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory trailed with 40 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 33, 609 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 956 deaths so far.
