The wife of the 2019 Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr Obadiah Mailafia, Mrs. Margaret has demanded for the immediate and unconditional release of her husband by the Department of State Service (DSS).

Mailafia was on Wednesday invited by the DSS for questioning following the views he expressed when he appeared on ‘Morning Crossfire’ programme on Nigeria Info Abuja 95.1FM on Monday.

However, as at 3.30pm, he was yet to come out from the DSS office in Jos, Plateau state, prompting an outcry from his wife, who expressed worries over her husband’s safety.

Margaret called on the international community and elder statesmen to intervene for the immediate release of her husband.

“We are calling on the international community, General Yakubu Gowon, Olusegun Obasanjo, T. Y. Danjuma, J. T. Useni, Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro, IBB and other stakeholders to intervene in the release of my husband.”

She further insisted that the DSS should neither offer her husband food nor drink, maintaining that his safety had become of utmost concern to her.
