Nigeria records 340 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 340 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 51, 304 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Kaduna state leading with 63 cases, while FCT trailed with 51 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Friday August 21, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 37, 885 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 996 deaths so far.
