A police corporal was killed on Friday evening when some unknown gunmen attacked Ikolaba Police Station in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The reason for the attack is still unknown at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the gunmen opened fire on policemen when they got to the police station.
Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident.
He said, “We got information that the station was attacked but I haven’t gotten the details of the officer that was allegedly killed.”
The police spokesman said the incident is being investigated.
