NCDC announces 457 new Covid-19 infections in Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 457 new Covid-19 infections in the country.

With the new figure, Nigeria now has a total of 44, 890 confirmed cases of the rampaging pandemic since February 27 when the first case was recorded in Lagos.

The breakdown of the new figure announced by the NCDC on its verified twitter handle for Wednesday August 5, 2020 shows Lagos reclaiming top spot with 137 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory followed with 76 cases.

With the latest figure, NCDC further confirmed that 32, 165 persons have been discharged so far, while a total of 927 deaths have been recorded.
