Nigeria records 239 new COVID-19 infections, 10 deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 239 new COVID-19 infections in the country.
The country also recorded 10 additional deaths as a result of the virus moving from 1,013 on Monday to 1,023 on Tuesday.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total 54, 247 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Plateau state maintaining its lead with 116 cases, while FCT trailed with 33 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Tuesday September 1, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 42, 010 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 1,023 deaths so far.
