Nine Kwara United players test positive for coronavirus

‎Nine players of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Kwara United, have tested positive for coronavirus.

The tests were conducted as part of the stipulated guidelines ahead of the resumption of the league. ‎

All members of the football club took the test on September 17, in compliance with the regulation of the League Management Company (LMC).

It was gathered that the nine players that tested positive were taken to the Sobi Isolation Centre in Ilorin.

All clubs have been ordered by the LMC to perform COVID-19 test for players and officials in line with the protocols and guidelines from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

No date has been set for the resumption of the NPFL 2020/2021 season. ‎
