‎The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Wednesday issued a two-week ultimatum to the Federal Government to reverse the recent hike in electricity tariff and the pump price of petrol or face civil unrest nationwide.

The ultimatum was the outcome of the NLC Central Working Committee meeting in Abuja.

A communiqué read by NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, after the meeting said the ultimatum is with immediate effect.

The NLC ‎warned that if the government has not reversed the hikes by the end of the ultimatum on September 28, it would mobilise its members for a nationwide civil unrest. ‎
