Plateau leads as Nigeria records 443 new COVID-19 cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced a total of 443 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

With the latest number of cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 45, 687 cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Plateau state taking a surprise lead with 103 cases, while Lagos trailed with 70 cases.

Details of the number of cases recorded by each of the states on Friday August 7, 2020 are contained below:

The release further showed that a total of 32, 637 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 936 deaths so far.
